Seiko 7548's. Lets see 'em.
« on: February 01, 2012, 09:22:45 PM »

I had owned my 7548 for a while having persuaded a nice gentleman in Florida to part with it.

It is a near NOS 7548-7000 dating to 1981 and it is the nicest I've owned. I prefer the domed sapphire on it at present but I kept the original, mint crystal too. I still think that everyone should have at least one 7548 in their collection so lets see them guys:

In good company!!

Very nice 7548, I have had a number of these and sold many of them and am down to two now I believe. These and there 7C43 brethren are IMHO just fantastic watches.

Here are the two I currently own:

7548-7010

7548-7000

And here are some previous examples I have owned:

7548-700F

7548-700C

Another 7548-700F

7548-700B

Another 7548-700C

A more wabi'd 7548-700F

Man, I never realized I had so many, I would take them all back if I could!!

Great watches for sure, I actually prefer the 7548 quartz packaged in a 6309-704x case for cosmetic good looks and overall comfort.

In that regard here are my two..... And as if their minty condition wasn't enough, like magic both 7548s were manufactured May 1985...the exact month and year that I met my wife.....guess these are keepers too.

I agree. My one and only 7548-7000, June 1983 production.

Here's my 700H, which I prefer to the 700C as the orange is a little more subdued, the markers around the lume are grey rather than black, and it has silver hands and font on the bezel insert rather than gold.

My most recent is this 7548-7010 from Mike Mounce with some cool Kanji engraving on the back. From the translation, my understanding is that they were handed out in 1985 to celebrate the launch of a real estate magazine going national.

(Mike's picture of the front; my picture of the back)

Not shown is my 7548-7000, currently residing in a 6309-704x case. I'm thinking of going back to the original case with that.

I bought this one several years ago. While it doesn't get much use, it's the most accurate timepiece I've ever owned. Even though I have a "thing" for mechanical watches, I don't think I'll ever sell this one.

The 7548 always looks great in a 6309 case. Two crackers.

I saw that 7548 via Mike on the Trading Post. I think the engraved Japanese script on the case back adds character.
