My Latest Addition To My Seiko Collection
« on: January 31, 2012, 10:58:33 AM »
Dear Comrades,

Here is the latest addition to my Seiko collection: 7548-7009. I received it yesterday (Monday). It is in very good condition, and already on my wrist!  :035: :celebrate: :great: .

Please enjoy the fotos, and thank you DAHASCO very much for your prompt communications and replies and updates which made our transaction very smooth and easy!  :bravo_2: O:-) . He is a true gentleman and an asset for our watch family!

Here I set the time by atomic time signal on the cell phone, and the accuracy test drive has begun:

Here you see my latest additions, all Seiko + a Tsunami: (R.I.P. Brother Noah) (7548-7009 is the latest addition among this group)

And here with his new shoes, gray Zulu:

I hope you enjoy the fotos.

Very Best Regards . . .

Man I love that watch looks awesome, is it all original?

I am a noob but it looks similar to my 7001-7000 and 7001-700A both of which I adore and wear often.

What was the production date range? I will read up on the model and find out more.

Brilliant looking set of specimens  :)

Dearest Comrades,

Thank you so much for your very kind and sweet words  O:-) .

I will start from the latest to the first:

Dear FoweyUK, this one was produced in 03.'85. If I am not mistaken, the 7548 models were produced from 1980 or 1979 till late 80's or early 90's. I love the 7001 series a lot, too. Wear them in the best of health.

Dear fellow Vancouverite Thian, I have been thinking of such a hybrid for a very long time, indeed. They look gorgeous, like your amazing timepiece. And your fantastic fotos are one reason why my wallet always gets thinner  :'( >:D .

Dear Bartleby, I used to have a SBCM023 and Pepsi version SBCM025. The day I sold them, I was regretting a lot  :'( . But now even the second SBCM023 is on the way, probably I will receive tomorrow. Its brutal accuracy (My ex SBCM023 was gaining 0.75 second a year after 4 months in the box observation! :a102: :-\ ), 8 year battery life, Perpetual calendar, and that unique design is unbeatable!  :035: :great: .

Here is the second SBCM023 on its way, the seller's foto:

This one also looks in mint+ condition. I will have hard time, I think, which SBCM023 I will be wearing daily in rotation.  :o ::) :-[ . . .

Dear Mario, thanks a lot for your very kind words. I used to have a 7548-700B and I loved that timepiece a lot. Last year I sold it to a fellow Vancouverite gentleman. Now he is enjoying it. It is definitely in my very short list in the near future, for sure  :great: .

Dear Chris, thanks a lot for your very kind words. It replaced my 7548-700B in a way. Now it will be my daily wearer in rotation with one of the SBCM023s. I am actually definitely an Automatic watch maniac, but when it comes to Seiko brand, I love their Quartz models and technology and accuracy as much as I love Auto timepieces! Either way you can not go wrong.  :celebrate:

Dear Redcoat, thank you very much for your very kind words.

And again, I thank all and each of you for sharing my happiness.

Very Best Regards . . .

Dear Friends,

Thanks a lot for your very kind words.

I put the rest (12 of them) into the boxes, and began wearing my 7548-7009. Besides its awesome work horse, the case size and design are melting my heart  O:-) .

Dear Dahasco, thank you very much again and again for giving me this joy. You made this happen!  :great:
