What attracted me to this watch was the inspiration behind it. The design team at Orient Star a few years ago wanted to capture some of those retro artifacts from our past that we were so fond of... cars, cameras and motorcycles. This model is based on a vintage (British or Italian) motorcycle. One has to use their imagination to create the connection in one's mind's eye. To me it has the essence of a vintage mechanical object... the body may remind one of a piston, the section where the Orient Star name is located to me resembles the motorcycle gas tank, the white lower part could be the lower down-frame of the bike. Just use your imagination
That is what the designers try to do... not recreate the actual object but recreate it symbolically or metaphorically.
