i live in a slightly more sunny (at least this time of the year) part of the world - south africa - i havn't had any issues synching really. i do have issues when its overcast but we dont have cloudcover for more than a day so i am still able to synch daily or every second day..
it does seem that if you synch in the same place you have more chances of success; ie the same side of your garden as opposed to while driving along on different roads - although i have quite some success doing this as well (when no clouds).

agree with the cost vs function element; why pay 4k for something thats supposed to keep atomic time only to find out it does so only some of the time and only if manually coerced or threatened ;p citizen could have made this watch awesome; lume/auto-time-synch/waterproof but they just seem to have lost the plot halfway through - sadly.

My friend who has the same watch and in fact sold me mine has given up trying to sync his.

There are better GPS chips out there eg in cell phones. Instead of giving us a meaningless 2.5 yr power reserve, I'd settle for 6 months, if that means a better GPS sync capability. It looks like the Citizen Engineers and Marketers need to know what their customers want and reorientate their design priorities.

The Satellite Wave still isn't available in the UK unfortunately.... does anyone know when it will be released throughout Europe? I understand it is only available in Italy at the moment.

As far as I understand all of the initial limited edition have come and gone. The 990 was it, and in Europe save Uk and Ireland there were only the 5 watches and they all went to Italy. Germany 0, France 0, UK pre-sold out, Ireland they got one and the buyer was selling on eBay... You'll have to wait till they bring out the mass produced batch at some point, no idea when. Hopefully I am wrong and u can get one elsewhere but think its game over for now. Obviously given enough cash u might still get one but I recon wait for the revised and fixed version, at a lower price..

Much better than the rubber strap, great complement to the watch with that green stitching.

The review is really fantastic. The pictures are really stunning. The charm of the magnificent designer watches are really irresistible. So if anybody is thinking about to have one, he or she has to make the decision according to the personality.
