« on: September 26, 2011, 12:56:03 AM »
howdy all,
I got myself a 4006-6031 about a year ago off ebay which was not running... but with a little \TLC O:-) it hasn't missed a beat....
anyways I wanted to take some photo's to share but can never seem to get a shot without glare from flash or have focus problems...
As I have seen some great photo on this forum, can anybody give advice on how to get good shots .... of watches in general would be good.
I have included a dreadful pic that made me laugh for your amusement!

and heres a couple of my old boys...

cheers, and thanks everybody :)
want more watches...must have more money...evil wife...ho hum

Thanks for sharing and welcome to SCWF!   Your photo issues have solutions.  If your camera has a "macro" setting then use it.  Get yourself a tripod (large or small) and use "natural" lighting (the real thing or certain lamps). Good luck!

 :iagree:

Natural lighting to me is best, macro as John says, tripod and practice and practice, i generally take a load of pics just to get a couple of half decent ones and then i keep practising :)
I have been in Deepshit many times; the older I get, the easier it is  to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there :)

Isn't there a link floating around on SCWF that points to a nice blog about watch photos?  Hm'mm....
