Some interesting prices for Belles on eb$y
« on: September 12, 2011, 02:24:31 AM »
Nice to see our friend Jose at "watchcooking" get a good price for what looks like a very nice 27J. At least with Jose, you know it has been properly serviced and he will make good if any problems arise.

But, my head goes  :41:  when I see something like this.  Correct me if I am wrong, but that dial does not belong in a -600x case.  Granted, beauty and value are in the eye of the beholder, so if the buyer thought this one was worth what he/she paid, then good for them.

Yeah, some interesting stuff on the 'Bay, but what the hell is with the bloke from Bury St. Edmunds with his approx $1,500 NOS item?  :o   :o
Holy Cow, Batman! No Bell, irrespective of its mint-condition, never-worn-since-the-day-it-left-the-factory-ness, is worth that amount, f'r God's sake!

Oh well.....no doubt someone with more money than sense will knock on his door.

Here is one that actually looked "worth" the price http://www.ebay.com/itm/150695869668  Although that is a lot, the dial, markers, hands, and wheels condition looked exceptional.  What do you think?

Some people feel that Bell-matics are under-priced right now. The person who services my watches says that he would be more interested in Bell-matics if they fetched a higher price. He feels that the Bell-matic line are some best watches that Seiko made( although he prefers Swiss watches).

The watchmakers I've shown my Bell-Matics to also say this. The consensus is the 4006A movement is extremely accurate and reliable for what it is. They also get giddy when they see one and like working on them.
