« on: August 10, 2011, 05:55:48 AM »
hey guys,

Are there any Australian users here who would be able to recommend any watch repair places in Australia who are famliar with the Bell-matic?

I have yet to buy one, but would want to have one looked at after I make a purchace.

The one person i can recommend is Peter Kuhn, but you will need to wait as he has a 6 month backlog of work and may not be taking on any new work till next year due to family commitments  :great: :great:

Is being 7 years as a resident in Perth as an Australian? I love my fremantle dockers! * they do suck from time to time*
I know one which is highly recommended in the west, Dayco Watch Perth.
But it's a bit pricey, you can google them if you like.

The one person i can recommend is Peter Kuhn, ....
Ditto.
Peters work is second to none and if he is booked solid then it's worth the wait.

Thanks for the replies! I speak to Peter and get myself onto the queue.

In other news...

I found my dream bellmatic colour/case combination last night on ebay in great condition and a reasonable price to boot! Couldn't believe my luck. Snapped it up quickly. What do you think?

I agree thats a nice combination and that looks pretty clean but perhaps a little over polished ? but you can't really tell until it is in your hands, enjoy :)
I have been in Deepshit many times; the older I get, the easier it is  to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there :)

Geday,

Can recommend Birkett's in Adelaide. He is a great guy and knows his stuff. He does know Bellmatics and has no problems fixing them.

I use Richard askham for my watch overhauls.  His work is superb and is significantly cheaper than getting it done in AUS.  His website is:
