I passed by that one more than a few times. What made the seller call it a King Seiko? If I remember right the watch was being sold out of Japan?
Yes, I think it was.

Truly bizarre. The last post I see before yours is by f-stop.

Even the link you posted shows me nothing.  :(

Offered by one of our "favorite" sellers. No mention made of the likelihood that this is a re-dial.

Oh, but John. In very small print at the bottom of the listing it clearly says:

As with many old watches some of them have had external worn/faded/corroded parts replaced over the years like bezel inserts, dials and hands this is normal and they have been replaced with the highest quality products available to us.

In other words, the whole dang watch could be a fake!  ::)

:017:  so this is the "caveat" they bury in a description to cover their a**?  "As with many old watches..."??? Road apples!!  As opposed to just coming right out and saying, "This dial never saw the inside of a SEIKO facility during the production run of Bell-matics"???   :-[
Compare that to our friend, Jose. He not only makes it clear that a "Franken-Bell" he is selling is "modified," he goes out of his way to indicate which case number has been mismatched with which dial/hands/etc. (a big help to those Bell-maniacs who are looking for quality parts watches).
 :great:
