Hi StartSomething,

Thanks for the response.

I have acquired a tool set but have not used it yet. I do have access to a half dozen broken pocket watches (they are bigger!!) but I didn't get far with my first attempt!
I would have no problem experimenting with simple tasks. I might buy a few cheap watches to practice on soon.

I do have a person who has carried out work for me, but he is a 2 hour drive away, or postage etc. I have used him once and he appears to be OK.

A member brought to my attention that the dial number and a case code on my Bell-Matic does not match.

I have a white Belle 4006-7001 serial number is 0061XX and the dial number is 7080T
I am 99% sure it is original since I bought it wasn't even serviced/opened.

So my question is:
Are the cases and dial guide 100% correct or not?

Because I noticed that another of my watch white 4006-7002 with caseback 2296XX also has 7080T dial and I couldn't even find a 1972/82 production year on cases guide.
Also a silver /gray 4006-7000 serial 8N11XX is not even mentioned there (7070 dial).

I believe that all them are ALL original Bell-Matics. At least I thought so but I better check with you guys.

Mate, the 4006-7000, 7001 and 7002 all came with either the 4006-7000 (gold or silver) or the 4006-7080 (gold or silver). If you need proof I'll scan the relevant Seiko casing parts for you.

Thank you otr002 for your help.  ^-^ There were more colors and dials available for 700X family:

After some investigation this is the best summary I got (thank you Hermann):
There are three 700x series dials (as far as I know): the 7000T AD dial  is a no-lume 27J dial available in black and silver sunburst), the  7070T dial is a lumed 27J dial available in silver and gray/blue and  the 7080T dial is a lumed 17J dial available in silver, blue and  charcoal.
