Do you have a "favorite" Franken-Belle?
« on: June 03, 2011, 09:17:58 PM »
Here is one I saw in my travels.... a 4006-600x case with a 4006-605x dial and hands.  Good looking, actually.

Wow, simply gorgeous! I am a sucker for those large cases.

Saw this 4006-7011 recently. Actually quite nice for a yellow/gold (SGP) case, but who came up with those beauty parlor hands? Tipped?!  :-\

Still, if you were not concerned about authenticity, an interesting Belle!  :great:

This was one of my first Bells. I am wearing it right now, in fact. Anyway, not too much of a Franken, other than the second-hand. I actually like the red second-hand, is that heresy?

This one was one of the very first Bell-matics I bought, back when I knew nothing about "authenticity" or much about the watch itself. It ran beautifully and looked nice, despite its "Franken-ness."   (just a general observation, but it seems in my travels that these dials intended for -604x case styles are the ones most likely to be "transplanted")

Despite being a franken, that watch looks REALLY nice John...
The dial appears to be mint!

But it's not in my posession anymore (the Portuguese day wheel, you know...).

Cheers,

I have been in Deepshit many times; the older I get, the easier it is  to get there. I actually kind of enjoy it there :)

Here was another -604x dial that came in the wrong caseback. Still, another nice looking "Franken-Belle."

These pie pan dials are really nice, the previous gold one you posted is stunning.

And here's what it looks like properly seated....  :great: (I never did get a white dial model, just blue and gold.)

Must say that I like the looks of this one a lot.

However - unless I am completely mistaken - that watch appears to be a mix of a 700 case and 4006-7040 'Business Bell' dial, to my knowledge only found in 4006-7010 cases....

Best,
Hermann

These hands  are definitely in the "hit parade" of Franken-belles.
