You just gave me a new term to use, a "Neilo sandwich".  Too bad only SCWF members will understand what it means. :)

And thanks for getting this project moving, Neilo!!!!!

World Traveller Update...

Well, first off let me admit to not being a great photographer to begin with, but even by my standards these pics are not great. Either the watch or the background was in focus but never the both together! Also, the weather has been so bad that there has been virtually no sun and decent light for photos

But, it's been great to be part of the 'journey' of this watch started off by Neilo.

It's coming to you next Andy, and I will be sending it 'signed for' tomorrow, so expect to see her Weds.

First off, I was up in Buxton in Derbyshire to see a concert at Buxton Opera House with Nick Lowe and his Band. They were unbelievably great and it isn't over the top to say he is a genius, and the band were outstanding!

Then I thought the watch could show off a nice example of dry-stone walling often seen in Derbyshire but lots of places in the UK. These were right near to Chatsworth House and I intended to take a shot there but the big house has scaffolding all over it and not very photogenic!

Then today I have been down the Welford Arm of the canal that I think is part of the Grand Union Canal, on a narrow boat and it was freezing and I did well not to drop the camera while taking a shot or 2.

So, onwards and upwards with the Orient World Traveller - I hope you all have fun with her and get some better shots than me.

And for the forum member who wanted a sunset, I am sorry we have had the worst weather here over the last week or so, and not great light for taking photos.

Cool pics!  I love the canal shots.
You should take some photos of the foggy sunsets or sunrises.  All you ever hear is people talk about how foggy and rainy it is in the UK all the time.  I think a photo of the watch in the fog would be neat.

Nice, great shot of it on the wall in close up with the beautiful green fields in the background. Makes me miss England......

Hi Jem - nice pics

Good afternoon Andy!

I hadn't asked John, but could have dropped it with him today while I was over that way. I mailed him but he was working going to be working late- then in the meantime Neilo suggested it goes to you next.

So, it's in the post. It will be with you tomorrow.

I'd be interested to know if it can keep time while in transit overnight.

Check out a post I'm putting on tonight- While I was near Johns neck of the woods I managed to snag a nice Seiko LCD today in a very unexpected place!

Regards

Jem
