>The bezel turns at 120 clicks unidirectionally and is of a slight sawtooth edge.

Sorry to say, it's 60 clicks. Very unusual for a Seiko diver but true.

Sorry I say because 60 clicks are not conducive to perfect pip alignment. Mine is off by several degrees, also very unusual for a Seiko with a turning bezel in my experience.

Other than that the bezel action is smooth and the sawtooth edges are very easy to grab.

Hmmm... I can't confirm the 60 clicks. Mine has also 120 clicks. Yours seems to have a "special setup".
Kind regards from Hamburg in Germany

ok, here's the thing. it has 120 positions, but 60 "clicks".
I mean you can turn it 120 times and stop it in any part of the 120 without it being a halfway stop, it actually engages, but it looks like the click sound is 60.
can't figure it out  :o

Its 120 clicks with clicks at each minute and half minute.  60 minutes.

Gabe, the clicks are at 60 min intervals, however it does position itself correctly at 120 without the clicks and without it being a halfway situation.

ah yes, ithink i have the same case like u too,
we can move it in a halft minute scale, but it doesnot click there,
unless fully move for 1 minute scale

but does not matter, it is just feel different with any other 7S bezel-seiko

Hi, this is my friends Stargate bezel with lost lume pipe. Pipe is fixed with glue and small screw.... but does not hold well. The glue also is made by Seiko - not clean work :(   Original link

I got me one of them white Stargates with a bracelet.  I have history with white/pearlescent dial watches and it does grow on one.  The black ones have more immediate 'wow' factor though.

For information I prised off the bezel from my stargate and a SKX009 and.......they do not interchange.  Offering the SKX bezel up to the Stargate I dont think it would enhance it in anyway as it is too small in overall diameter.  A black Stargate bezel on a white Stargate could be worth a go though, if they become available separately.

well, after getting my second stargate, I am more perplexed than ever.
the black with red accents on bezel seems to have 60 clicks. The black with white hands on strap seems to definitely have 120 clicks.

I think the discrepancy with the clicking bezel is probably down to one of the click ring tabs not doing its job properly thus only 60 clicks per rotation.  My stargate has alternate strong and weak clicks, 120 in total.

I'm afraid the black coating on the bezel will came off when get a hard hit-on.
Have experienced with Seiko Velatura Kinetic, possibly same material.. ???

I agree.  That is a diver with classic good looks.  If only my 16.5cm/6.5" wrist were larger, I would be able to wear more divers.

Warm Regards,
Jon

Wonderful watch, but it`s too big for me.The SKX009 is the biggest case that my wrist can handle.
