Hi, here's a quick note on my impressions on this green faced square.

Well, since flipping my GWM5600bc w/composite, I missed it and had some regrets on that one.
Just loved it. But, one thing that bugged me was it only had 60min countdown timer.

So, on this one, its got the 24hr CT. Hooray! Should be standard on all G's.
Size, shape, very comfy and perfect for an all around goto watch.
Works and functions like most other square gshocks.

Another addition upgrade from my former square gshock is this one is Multiband 6. One extra band.
The syncing to atomic towers are the same as with my last, a Multiband 5. It only syncs up early in the morning around 1am-5am in my area in Canada.

Now the green lcd is probably a hit or miss for some. It actually reminds me of the 80's when digitals from Timex and Casio were the rage and many of the
LCD's were a greenish hue. So its kinda retro in that sense.
But I do like it. Its very different depending on the light conditions.

In bright sunlight, this LCD shines bright green. Like kryptonite!
Indoors or more subdued lighting its very neutral and tiny hint of a green hue to it.
So its not glowing green all the time, very non flashy IMO.

This case and strap has a glossy black finish. I'm on the fence with this. It can look plasticky and toy like. A bit shiny for me, but I'd prefer matte.
I miss that matte finish and superb composite bracelet from the GWM5600bc.

The resin strap on this somewhat feels less refined as compared to my old Frogman I had and even the Mudman I have.
Also, I really prefer the double buckles over this single buckle. But I'm sure this resin strap will stand the test of time and punishment. Its still a solid
build.

I'd recommend this watch as a great all around grab and go watch. The green lcd might not be for everyone.
Many are holding out for and hoping Casio drops a basic LCD, black square, with Mulitband 6,
tough solar, with the 24hr countdown timer.

Nice review, I also like the 24hr CDT and I wished the GWM5600 has that. The GW5000 also has it (along with the nice SS case), but its pretty much in a different price segment.
 
I wished they come in more "smart causal friendly" color, glossy bezel/strap + green LCD just doesn't go well in the office. :p
