    Hi Tom,

I have an Arnie that worked perfectly until the battery died and I tried to replace it. Battery went in okay and it fired right up but now I’m getting strange read-outs on the LCD. Is this something you could take a look at? If not is there someone you could recommend? I’ve sent watches to Jack and Spencer but it’s been years and I’ve heard they’re either not taking new work or they extensive turn time. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hello Tom,
Wondering if you are taking in work? I have a number of Seiko watches I'd like rebuilt. The watch maker I have been using for the past few years is retiring. I have a couple 6309's and some 6138's I'd like done. Thanks

Hi Tom, I'm not sure if I'm doing the PM's to you the proper way so I'm trying it this way to see if you get it. I decided I'm ready to send the 6139 to you so we can get the ball rolling on my repair job. The last message you sent me was explaining about the stem gear. Mine is missing on my watch so that's another item I'll need. Here's what I think I need, Crystal, stem, crown, stem gear, pushers, gasket set. So if I can get your address I'll get it in the mail to you asap.

I forgot to mention that I'd like to get the proper bracelet for the watch also as I'm using a generic one.

Hi Tom, I was referred to you by other members on my post about my 6139-6005. I hope you will be able to help me out.
The watch has been in a box for many years and I dug it out the other day and decided I'd like to get her back in shape to be a daily wearer.
It's missing the crown, and the 2 pushers and I'd also like to get a new crystal for it. I'm guessing I'll need a new stem as it doesn't have any threads on the end.
I'd be thrilled if you could help me out with it assuming you're not too busy and the price is out of my league.
Please let me know what you think. Looking forward to chatting with you about this old classic. I tool a photo of it that's on my hard drive but can't figure out how to post it.
    Thanks

    Hi Tom.

I was wondering if you had some time in the next few weeks to check out an SKX0007 for me. I purchased it pretty cheap, it was a bit beat up but i really like how it looks. It was working fine but keeps ticking and it seems like the hands may actually be stopping each other? Not even sure if that is possible. Ha!

Please let me know if you have any time or interest and taking a look and I will send it off.

Thank you again for your help with my 6139 and I really like your recent Orange posting, looked really great.

Thanks and have a great weekend.

    Tom:

I asked on the forum if there were still any members who did repair or modding work and everyone recommended you. I was hoping you would be willing to take on a project for me?

I wanted to do a poor mans Marine Master and snagged an 009 off ebay pretty reasonably. But when it arrived I decided I really like the dark blue dial. I wore it a few days and discovered it's running 3-4 minutes fast a day. I'm hoping it's just magnetized or the mainspring is bound, but I don't know. I've ordered a domed sapphire crystal from Crystaltimes and an engraved stainless insert and coin edge bezel from Yobokies that should be here in a couple weeks. I was hoping you would be willing to get the movement sorted and install the new parts for me when they arrive.

I promise I'm super easy to deal with. This is my hobby and it's supposed to be fun and I like to keep it that way.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lanny
