Default replacement glass

hi my seiko has recently developed a crack in the glass and now I wan't to replace it myself. but I can't find the correct part. the case back is quite worn but i've tried to decipher it as best I can. I know I will need the new gaskets as well.

You can measure the crystal and buy a generic replacement. That is for gaskets also.

Crystal needed is 300PA4JN02 but as jdm says measure the thickness and get a 30mm one. Gasket white is 86178611 but I would reuse old one.
Available from Cousins in UK or Jules Borel in US.

You have the answer above. You can use, I believe, a debit card.

If Paypal is your only option then ebay is your best friend.

The first thing you need to do is remove the glass, using a glass press and measure how thick it is.

As user melt mentioned the original part number is 300PA4JN02. The first 3 digits of this number tells us the diameter (30.0mm). What this does not tell us is how thick the glass is. So you have to remove the glass an measure it. It will probably be somewhere between 1mm and 2mm thick.

Once you know the thickness you should be able to find one on ebay very easily. For example say the glass is 1.5mm thick then search for:

30mm watch crystal 1.5mm

Then choose between mineral glass (around $6) or sapphire glass ($10 and up)

You will need some tools to install the glass, like a crystal press.

Cheers,

Dan

Just FYI mineral glass cost less than $1 at material houses. Not a big deal but why paying more than the market price.
