Default Wristwatches. A health tonic

Hello. I retired 16 months ago and unfortunately for me have had some serious health issues at this time confined to bed after a 10 hour operation with furher bad news that I now have a cancer.
Having a lot on my mind and bored to tears I have had my son searching the house including the attic finding watches that I have long forgotten about. The bulk of my collection being Seiko. Seeing these watches some for the first time in many years has given me great enjoyment and I did not realise how many watches I have, what a health tonic, I am now wearing watches a different one every day as they turn up, the wife now having the proof that she always thought that I was mad in my collecting.
So the collection has now improved my state of mind and relieved my boredom.
Thankyou you Seiko.
Peter.

Hi Peter,

It's a bit silly but I find my watches give me comfort too. Wish you a lot of strength and hope you get well.

Anything to keep the mind occupied in situations like that are a blessing, glad to hear they are acting as a tonic. Hope you find the effort to keep your mind strong, stay positive as our brains are the source of our healing.

The good news is this gives us all another angle for the collecting!

Chin up and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I would love to see a SOTC picture!

It is good to hear this. It is so easy to give in to the suffering of life.

I hope to hear more from you.

Post some pictures!

Here's wishing you the very best of luck. And the watches show that it's the little things that count.
If I can offer some practical advice. There is no need to be bored in bed if you are well enough to listen to speech. If you want to PM me, Ill send you some pointers as to things that might help keep you amused.
All the best,
Simon

Sorry to hear of your ills but glad that the little bundles of joy are still making you smile. I may just show your post to the Mrs in a vain attempt at justification 🤣🤣
Keep smiling
