If you want we can make it so the system automatically replaces Minty with Mint any time it is used on the board. This would take the humor out of minty discussion though.
The discussions go on and on about the use of "mint" ..."Minty" and "NOS" but whether it is the correct terminology or not i think most people recognise what is being or trying to be got across by the use of those terms or i am perhaps in a minority of one.
But to me "Mint" is like new almost.
"Minty" is very very nice.
"NOS" is new old stock which could be like new as though just come out of the factory today or it could be an item that is brand new but old or very old and never been used but could have storage marks or even dry seals etc and again just my opinion which in the home at least counts for very little i fully understand there meaning and take them in to account if buying.
Haveing said all that "Mint" and "Minty" are subjective, one mans mint is another mans just ok.
I think the point that they were trying to make is that the word minty is a reference to the way something tastes, not to its condition. It is used a lot on sales (especially on many sales from sellers in asia), but unless you are planning on cooking your watches with some mint leaves, its use is still wrong.

I think though as we once discussed in the past Gabe different countries can put different meanings to the same word and here in the UK i hear those terms used all the while and we tend to be quite happy with them
