Help with Citizen model number please

http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachm...lipboard01-jpg Just purchased a Citizen, my first, and cannot seen to find any reference to it in the net.
I think it is a BL5*** cal E820. Other than that I know nothing...
Thanks

I'm not familiar with more recent / quartz models, but does the case back have any info on it?

Re: Help with Citizen model number please

On the back is E820-S068916 + GN-4W-S + 081021579

On the very bottom of the face is 504-09701 + between 5 and 6 is E820-S102214-KA

Don't know if this can be interpreted...

Re: Help with Citizen model number please

The movement is the "Bread and butter" Eco-Drive caliber E820 chronograph/perpetual calendar that Citizen uses in a plethora Eco-Drive watches.

You won't find the model number of this watch printed in the case back.

My suggestion....

Get in contact with Citizen Watch Company of America (COA) at the link below. They should be able to tell you the exact catalog number for your watch and also let you know whether this was an US market release or not:

www.citizenwatch.com

Select: United States then click over to "Support".

Re: Help with Citizen model number please

Looks like I found it. Seems to be BL5420-55E, a model exclusive to H. Samuel jeweller chain here in the U.K.

Another quick question for a Citizen noob, is it correct for the second hand to sweep a great distance after being in the dark under a cuff for 4 hours?

yes, this specific calibre does that.
it stops moving when there is no light but keeps the time in its memory, once there is light, it goes to the right second.
