Default Doraemon Special

Our whole household is a bit watch crazy. Fortunately no tunnelvisions and fun only.

I have just bouught replacement beater for my love.

We call it the Doraemon

A bit of a pity that I did not buy the hyper colour Man-in-Bowx when those were under 200 Euros :'(
Would have made a great family set with this one and the multicolour F-91W of our son.

Wow, this is so cute.

I have to buy one for my Japanese niece who knows the word watch and apple. She is only 2 years old and for some reason the word watch has stuck in her head.

How expensive was the watch?

It's a sign. She'll grow up to become the next Seiya, smuggling JDM watches for us in the future!

I can well imagine that it stuck because it really is a ´kitten´ of a watch.

The watch is the sold out CASIO G-SHOCK G-001-2DR G-001-2JF JASON LIMITED EDITION and typically 150-200$.
I suppose they will rise in price before long.

A bit steep for a 2 y.o.
The same colour sceme can be found in the 5$ colourfull F-91W fakes.

My First Casio

Have a look at Baby-Gs.
Those come in a wíld variety with sweet colours too. The ones on a velcro strap fit ány wrist.

You might be able to find a Baby-G ´ICERC´ or other with wales and dolphins on the strap for about 30-40$

toys r us has some fun watches for the little ones. I've seen Lego watches for the boys (my son has a Lego Star Wars watch from there) and I've seen Barbie and other girl related watches your niece might like as well!

Another brand you might try is Swatch Watch's Flik Flak brand http://www.flikflak.com The watches are all catered for little boys and girls with really cool designs. My son has a couple of these and depending on the models, you even get lumed hands, haha. Flik Flaks are all around $20-$75. The Flik-Flaks are all designed in a way to help children to learn to tell time.

Also, you can try http://www.disneystore.com for a lot of cool watches for children. You can customize a watch with your niece's name and her favorite type of band (rubber oyster, nato, leather, etc.) with a dial of her favorite Disney character. I customized a "Cars" watch for my son last year and he loves it.

It's great when the little ones take an interest in watches, isn't it?

My appologies Dave

Thís colour sceme has been sold out already so if you really want one you might not want to wait too long.
Look at what happened to the Man-in-Box prices :-\
The Jason will probably not be só extreme but most, if not all, limited production run G-shocks are better ´investments´ than Rolex
